In today’s world, content creation is big business—with influencers monetizing every product imaginable, from hair gel to lizard food. But despite having every tool at their fingertips, creators are burned out. The demand for content is endless, and influencing has become joyless. Creators were longing for a tool that could help take make their content a sustainable business.

That’s where Shopify Collabs comes in—the only affiliate platform where creators can promote, curate, checkout, get paid, and track—all in one place. Shopify partnered with Instrument to reinvigorate the Collabs brand, with two clear goals: reorient the identity to better balance Shopify’s visual language, and be flexible enough to accommodate a diverse range of future creators. The result is a playfully minimal identity that puts creators in the spotlight, giving their work—not the platform—the starring role.
